Portland State University is located in the heart of downtown Portland, Oregon. PSU was founded in 1946 to help educate returning World War II veterans, and continues this tradition of adapting to changing social and educational circumstances. It is currently the largest and fastest-growing institution in the Oregon University System.
A significant number of students have begun their studies at other institutions, and PSU’s faculty and staff work hard to adapt to diverse student needs. The online learning program enables distance learners to interact with an interesting, passionate group of fellow students.
U.S. News & World Report recently ranked Portland State University among the “most innovative” national universities for 2016. Portland State University also ranks among the nation’s best colleges in four categories that lead to student success by U.S. News & World Report in its America’s Best Colleges 2015 edition.
