The course overall was very good. I was reintroduced to the team concept and interaction but in this case it ended on a positive and effective note. I transferred from another online college whose core concept was team interaction however the reality of it was that oftentimes I was the one who bore the burden of the responsibility of the team due to other student’s lack of interaction or the failure to step up and take lead. As a result of this, I took up the slack. That being said, I had reservations about this course however, group one was comprised of bright, mature individuals who, like me, had a life but was cognizant of the focus and effort to get the job done. Kudos to group one.
Albeit there was quite a bit of reading for the course, I found the material to be of value and inherent to the concepts of criminal justice and the advancement of the discipline. Criminal justice is at best an archaic institution that is slow to recognize the ever-changing perceptions of society and advancements in science and technology. This situation has improved over the last twenty years to the benefit of criminal justice and those agencies who serve as such. I have been in the field for twenty-three years and have marveled at the rapid changes that have transpired. Technology and science, especially the scientific method, as it applies to criminal justice issues, has made great strides in addressing core issues that have long plagued law enforcement, the judiciary and corrections. Technology has had the spotlight as far as recognition is concerned for changing criminal justice however I believe true credit should be given to academia that has adhered to and introduced criminal justice to the use of the scientific method to look at criminal justice issues.

I would definitely recommend this course to other students and Dr. Lindberg especially. In my communications with the professor, she was always willing to help and assist. Dr. Lindberg’s choice of course material is excellent and the variety of the material kept it interesting. In this field, the same issues keeping popping up class after class and honestly, it gets boring. Dr. Lindberg’s class was not the case. Well done and thanks much.
