With transfer credits, students may be able to complete Portland State University’s Bachelor’s Degree program in just over a year. Portland State University will usually accept transfer credits from other regionally accredited institutions with similar courses. Police Academy Credit
Prospective students who have successfully graduated Police Academy may provide completion documentation to receive eight lower division credits applied toward the Internship requirement of the program.

Is there a limit on how many credits can be transferred?
Also how many credit must be taken at Portland State for degree?
Will a law enforcement internship completed at Western Illinois University count for the Portland State internship requirement.
(Western’s was 15 semester hours, 12 hours internship and 3 hours term paper)
PSU does not have a limit on the number of credits that can be transferred into PSU. Students must complete a minimum of 45 credits to earn a degree from PSU. Im currently attending West Virgina Northern Community College and im looking for a college online that i can continue my education online . The reason for this is because mom recently passed away and ive had to move further away from the college i was attending so its making it hard for me to get back and forth i dont want to drop out of the program because ive worked hard to get where im am so i hope to hear back from you and i really hope you can help me.
